Gaelic4mothers set to represent Tipperary in New York for a special adventure

The Gaelic4mother’s club was founded by local girls Marie O Neill and Faustina Renehan in 2021
The excitement is brewing amongst the Gaelic4mother's team in Cappawhite, Co Tipperary as they look forward to their upcoming trip to New York.
They will be representing Tipperary at a special Gaelic4mother’s Festival of football in Rockland Pitch in New York on Saturday, October 12.

There was an appetite for connection post-Covid and in the first year of its existence there were 59 members registered.
There are women not only from Cappawhite, but also the surrounding areas of Anacarty, Hollyford and Donohill.
They are sponsored by Cummins’ family in memory of their clubmate Clodagh Cummins who passed away in 2013.
The club trains every week and enters county and national blitz’s, with many members saying: "it’s a great way to de-stress and make friends in a non-competitve way."
Manager Bridgie Barry is preparing the team for their trip to New York, speaking on the upcoming trip, member Mary O'Neill said: "For the last couple of years we have been very lucky to have Bridgie Barry at the helm as our manager.
"Bridgie has been fantastic in every way in organising the trip to New York from the beginning. She was the one who initially entered us and the buzz when we were randomly picked was electric.
"Her enthusiasm is infectious and her dedication has kept our team thriving. She has been helped considerably by other girls in the club: our secretary Carol Leonard, Jane Ann O Neill and Marie O Neill.
"Thanks to sponsorship, our club member Úna Ryan designed specially commissioned jerseys for our trip, incorporating the club colours and the New York colours as well as both country flags which we look forward to wearing.
"Preparing for New York would not have been possible without these ladies who organised flights, accommodation, transfers ;etc for over 20 women. No mean feat! It has been something that has kept us going all year and we know it will be epic!"
