Gardaí have today decided to increase high visibility patrols to Target Anti-Social Behaviour in Clonmel

An Garda Síochána, Tipperary South Community Engagement Area are launching a new initiative aimed at reducing anti-social behaviour and addressing community concerns in Clonmel.

This operation will increase Garda visibility and patrols throughout Clonmel Town Centre, with both uniformed and plainclothes Gardaí present daily to detect and respond swiftly to offences during the upcoming busy period in the lead into Christmas.

The goal of this high-visibility initiative is to enhance community engagement with local businesses, shoppers, and the general public in the town centre. The approach was developed in response to recent discussions that An Garda Síochána held with Clonmel Community stakeholders.

Gardaí from Tipperary South Community Engagement and Crime functional areas will collaborate closely in this operation, strengthening efforts to address anti-social behaviour issues such as public order, harassment, drug use, and loitering.

All units working within the Tipperary South Community Engagement Area will be aware of this operation and able to provide assistance when required.
