General Election candidate says insurance rates an issue for community groups in Tipperary

Independent Ireland General Election candidate for Tipperary South Nadaline Webster says something needs to be done about high insurance rates in Ireland
Independent Ireland General Election candidate Nadaline Webster has said community groups in rural Ireland have told her that high insurance rates are an issue for them.
"The insurance situation is the other big problem that came up while canvassing" said Nadaline.
“We have a rural Ireland that is dying through lack of access to, or at all in some cases, to affordable insurance. What’s going to be done about that? I’ve heard of local clubs, different shows, they’re receiving quotes of €20,000-40,000 for small groups of people.
"Trying to keep some sort of social cohesion alive in rural Ireland and these things are just not affordable, there is no discussion about the wider issues affecting affordability" said Nadaline.
The Independent Ireland candidate said she is extremely worried about rural Ireland if something is not done to help cut costs for groups and businesses in rural communities.
