Tipperary are the Munster senior camogie champions after a fantastic, commanding display in the Munster Senior Camogie final in Thurles. From the off the Tipp side were tuned in and were dominant right away.

Three points in three minutes set the tone. After 12 minutes it was 0-7 to 0-2. A goal on 25 minutes by Eimear Heffernan really put the nail in the Clare coffin and there looked to be no way back for them as Tipp led 1-12 to 0-6 at half time.

In the second half Clare searched for a way back but the Tipperary defence held firm and despite conceding a goal to Aine O’ Laughlin just after the restart but soon after they found their rhythm again and a string of points meant Tipp won without reaching top gear.

Denis Kelly's side were dominant throughout with Eimear Heffernan hitting 1-3 from play, Eimear McGrath hit 0-6 and put in a storming performance as did Grace O'Brien and Cait Devane who both hit 0-4 from play.

Stalwarts Mary Ryan and Cait Devane were part of teh team the last time Tipp won silverware back in 2010. Afterwards Cait Devane said it was a fantastic feeling: "To win this is great for our team and rewards the effort all winter and all spring. The manager said to us beforehand that all the effort was for days like today."

Tipperary manager Denis Kelly said it was a special day:"We are thrilled. It is something we have been trying to do for so long and to get over the line is just brilliant and we will get ready to go again soon for the All-Ireland series." the Toomevara native said.
