Calls have been made for the council to erect a Columbarium Wall at St Cormac's Cemetery in Cashel, for people to place cremated ashes in, rather than buying a full burial plot.

Cllr Liam Browne has tabled a motion which will come before the Tipperary/Cahir/Cashel Municipal District on Monday.

The motion states: "This might ease the pressure on the graveyard filling up, and increasing numbers of people choosing to be cremated rather than be buried."
