Tipperary University Hospital and Banna Cluain Meala collaborated recently to present a wonderful musical evening in front of the hospital for the patients, visitors and staff to enjoy.
As part of the hospital’s Healing Arts programme the display of talented dancers and musicians treated their audience to a compilation of modern and classical music that cheered the heart and encouraged positivity during a difficult time.
Councillor John Fitzgerald was in attendance and was delighted to support the local community who use the services of our hospital and wished Banna Cluain Meala success in their upcoming American Trip.

“I am so thrilled to see the happiness on the people’s faces here and see the patients looking out of the windows and waving down to the young dancers and musicians and cheering them up,” she said.
The Healing Arts Programme in Tipperary University commenced in January 2024 and
through creative endeavour, this program seeks to lessen loneliness, tension, and anxiety while increasing positivity during a difficult time in their lives.
The programme aims to use music, artwork, poetry and creative writing to allow beauty and grace to be a part of the clinical environment.
The management of Tipperary University are grateful to the members of Banna Cluain Meala, the committee members, the parents and drivers of the children who gave their time to this successful partnership and wish them every success in their trip to Albany US, in July.
A spokesperson from Banna Cluain Meala said they were delighted to support the Patient Advocacy Team with their initiative to promote patient well-being through music.
