Heritage Centre in Tipperary announces full closure due to severe weather
'Roads and footpaths are treacherous'
The Tipperary Excel Heritage Centre has announced it will be closing its doors today, Wednesday January 8, until Monday January 13, due to the severe weather that has gripped the country this past week.
In a post on Facebook, the arts and cultural centre located in Carrownreddy said,
"We are closing now (Wed. 8th Jan) and will not reopen until Monday next Jan 13th.
"The roads & footpaths are treacherous out there both in the town & country. The number of people out and about is very little and that’s just for food shopping and emergencies!
"So for the next few days stay safe & warm and we will see you all next week."
The cold snap is set to continue well into Friday.
