Hundreds attend funeral Mass of popular Tipperary priest as community mourns

So sad!
CAPPAWHITE NOTES:
Our parishioners and friends of the late Rev Fr Tadhg Furlong were really shocked last week of his ultimately death at the age of 74.
He will be greatly missed as he was such an easy man to talk to, great man to visit the sick and bring them Holy Communion.
He was involved in all aspects of the community and had a very spiritual disposition.
Deepest Sympathy to his three brothers and two sisters and indeed many of the Furlong family and extended family.
Hundreds of family and friends attended the funeral.
Archbishop O’Reilly offered the funeral Mass and people shed tears as the last prayers were said.
Sadly missed by his brothers Patrick, James and Thomas, sisters Mary, Bridget and Eileen, brother-in-law Seamus, sisters-in-law Noreen and Nora, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, Archbishop Kieran O’Reilly, his fellow Clergy and Religious of the Cashel and Emly diocese, cousins, his loyal parishioners, classmates, members of Cumann na Sagart and a wide circle of friends.
Fr Furlong funeral Mass took place on Thursday at 1.30pm with burial afterwards in Cappawhite Cemetery.
Rest in peace.
