The Circle of Friends Big Breakfast Bonanza took place on Friday, April 14 at the Circle of Friends Cancer Support Centre in Tipperary Town.

Circle of Friends is a volunteer-run cancer support centre for the community of Tipperary and its surrounding villages and towns.

The Centre offers one to one specialist services such as professional counselling or reflexology as well as group classes, activities and therapies such as coffee mornings, meditation mornings and evenings, photography group, and many more services.

Circle of Friends is a thriving community of individuals who are affected by cancer in some way.

The volunteer Board of Management meets every two weeks, and continues to lead the centre forward, while engaging with the various agencies in the charity and health sectors.

The wonderful staff and volunteers ensure that everything runs smoothly in the Centre and that all our visitors are met by a friendly face and a welcoming smile.

Kay Hogan’s experience and expertise as Manager has been a major asset and in conjunction with the Board she continually plans and prepares for the future development of the centre and of its services.

Circle of Friends relies on the support of the community, and the Breakfast Bonanza was a fundraiser for its services.

It was wonderful to see a packed centre for this event and the beautiful sunny day allowed many to sit out in the gardens and enjoy the lovely surroundings at Circle of Friends.

There was a generous selection of food with lots of home baked produce and there was a great welcoming and friendly atmosphere throughout the centre.

The Chairman, Jim Rhatigan, Board Member, Liam Bergin and Manager, Kay Hogan, were all delighted to see such a large attendance and to see so many new faces present.

They wanted to get the message out that the centre is open daily on a Monday to Friday basis and that there are many services being provided in the centre which are completely free of charge.

Sincere thanks were extended to all who had attended on Friday and to those who gave such generous donations financially, and to those who had provided food and had looked after the catering on the day.

It was a wonderful event and a great pleasure to be in attendance. Circle of Friends can be contacted on 062-33550 or by email at [email protected]
