This popular service has helped people all over the county

A Sightsaver Bus Clinic is coming to Tipperary this February, which has proven to be a very popular and invaluable service for people that have been on long waiting lists for procedures.

Tipperary Councillor John O'Heney developed the service, which brings patients to the Kingsbridge Hospital in Belfast to avail of medical treatment, back in 2023.

The new service has helped many patients from Tipperary, Limerick, and Cork to get the treatment they need quickly and efficiently. A huge range of procedures are available, with Cataract operations proving very popular.

This is a fully comprehensive service from door to door. John himself is the voluntary Bus Chaperone and you are provided with a comfortable bus, an outstanding hotel and a taxi service to and from The Hotel to the Hospital for your appointments each day.

From the time you leave you are looked after for everything you need, until you return.

You can learn how to access healthcare faster across the border at the hospital in Belfast or Kingsbridge North West in Ballykelly under the NI Planned Healthcare Scheme at our upcoming drop in information clinic on Thursday, February 13 from 10am-5pm at the Talbot Hotel, Clonmel.

The Cross Border team will be there on the day to assist with any queries and will also be able to book initial consultations on the day.
