Salmon sculpture unveiled
What a fantastic day we had last Sunday in Golden village.
The official unveiling of a beautiful Stone salmon sculpture to commeremate the largest recorded salmon caught on the banks of the river Suir near Golden.
The sculpture is also dedicated to the memory of Owen Jackman.
Huge thanks to everyone for the fantastic support. It was an amazing day with the sun shining warmly.
Refreshments were available and the ladies were kept busy serving teas and coffee.
Many thanks to Cllr Michael Fitzgerald who did a fantastic job as master of ceremonies.
Thanks to all the dignitaries who spoke on the day.
