'It’s really enjoyable to get into the car every evening to go training' said Liam Cahill

Liam Cahill was happy with Tipperary's win over Kilkenny last Sunday
“It was a pleasing afternoon's work,” admitted Tipperary boss Liam Cahill outside the dressing rooms in UPMC Nowlan Park after his side’s comprehensive win over Kilkenny on Sunday.
“We tried one or two options today, while also trying to keep our consistency with the spine of our team.
“It worked out reasonably well again today. Anytime you can come to Nowlan Park and get out with a win it's a good day’s work.“This league to date has been reasonably good to us, we’ve kept a lot of consistency in our team but tried one or two players each day we have took to the field.
“Today was a good test again for one or two of the newbies.
“Young Oisín O’Donoghue making his debut in the Tipperary jersey and did really well for 30 minutes there and younger fellas again that performed well at the start of the league, the likes of young Sam O’Farrelll and young Darragh McCarthy and all them, them boys are going to be an integral part of Tipperary going into the future and not just in 2025.”
“It’s really, really enjoyable to get into the car every evening to go training these fellas,” said Cahill as his team climbed to top of Division 1A with one round remaining. I’m getting the vibes off the boys on the field as well.
“As long as we keep that environment created, that’s my responsibility to create that environment.
“As long as we keep doing that, please God, the results will stay coming.
“Does it suit Tipperary to reach a league final and win it? It does. It suits any team that can get to a final and win it.
“It’s a national title, it’s silverware.
“We’re six weeks out today from the first round of the Munster Championship in Thurles. That’s obviously our goal.
“People say Tipperary under Liam Cahill will win matches in the spring, but can they do it in the summer? We have to prepare in the spring to make sure that we give ourselves a fighting chance in the summer.
“Summer is only six weeks away now, Clare in two weeks’ time. If a league final comes about, it’s better preparation leading into April 20.”
