Knockmealdown Crossing organised by Peaks Mountaineering Club

The annual Knockmealdown Crossing organised by the Peaks Mountaineering Club takes place this Saturday, April 22.

Registration will be through Eventbrite with the link on the club’s website, peaksmcclonmel.ie

Registration for all three walks closes today, Wednesday, April 19 and no other participants will be allowed to register after that date.

Three walks cater for different levels of fitness.

The B Walk remains the same as last year but the C Walk will follow a completely new route.

The check-in for all walks will be at the Community Hall in Newcastle, E91 C3V9.

Buses will transport people to the start of the various walks.

The €30 entry fee includes transport and a hot meal at the conclusion of the walk.

All walkers are advised to have suitable footwear, raingear, food and drink and also a change of clothes.

Any profits from this event will be donated to the South Eastern Mountain Rescue Association (SEMRA).

This well-organised event is an enjoyable day out for all participants.

Full details of all three walks are available on the club’s website.
