The development was granted conditional permission to construct 21 new homes at Prior Park Grove in Clonmel.

The council has given the go-ahead for a large-scale housing development in Clonmel.

The development will consist of the creation of 21 new homes in Prior Park Grove, Clonmel.

The site will now have 41 homes in total at the development, as some were previously completed in the past.

The council has this week granted the development conditional permission, which means the development can only go ahead under specific conditions that must be met before or during the construction phase.

Plans for the development outline that eight homes will be used for social housing in Clonmel, under a Part V agreement with the council.

The council received a few objections during the planning process, from residents living in the immediate vicinity of the development.

One resident complained of building debris next to their garden, a restricted view due to new homes planned and traffic congestion due to the development creating 41 new extra homes.

Another resident complained that the development will create a loss of light, security concerns, privacy concerns, devaluation of property and loss of view.

Those who objected have four weeks beginning on the date of the Council’s decision to make an appeal.
