LATEST: Tipperary Vintage Rally expected to draw huge crowds this weekend

Sunday next, June 18 will see the rescheduled Tipperary Vintage Rally take place at the Supermacs Tipperary Town Plaza on the Limerick Road.

This very popular event makes a welcome return having been postponed at Easter due to wet underground conditions following very inclement weather.

An annual fundraiser for the South Tipperary Hospice Movement, it is sure to draw a large attendance to the Plaza.

As June 18 is also Father’s Day, it will be a real family day out with attractions for everyone. As well as a car show there will be stationary military vehicles and stalls, tractors, autos, motorbikes and numerous side shows.

For the younger members of the family Mark McCormack’s amusements and the laser wars (a big hit last year) will be there along with the dog show featuring categories for different size dogs from small to large, fancy dress dog and best overall dog of show.

THE DOG SHOW

Prizes for the dog show are sponsored by All Creatures Great and Small, Limerick Road, Tipperary. This year there is a new category for retired registered (marked) greyhounds sponsored by IRGT Ireland.

There will also be a selection of dinky toys on display and a gaming van which promises to be a hit with young and old.

Gates open early and admission is €10 for adults and children are free. Tipperary Vintage Rally has been fundraising for 15 years and to date has raised over €250,000 for the hospice movement.

The committee would like to thank their sponsors, the public who support the event and all who travel to exhibit their goods and vehicles.

A special word of thanks to main sponsors Supermacs whose continued support ensures that this event can be hosted each year.
