Local raffle raises over €600 for Tipperary cancer support centre

Thurles Farmer's Market notes
Autumn is really setting in as the leaves begin to change colour and the temperature drops. Seasonal change is now further impacted by Climate Change.
Temperature, wind and rainfall levels are changing from the long-standing temperate levels that were the norm in Ireland.
It will impact food production and the security of food supplies going forward – something we need to be mindful of as producers and consumers.
Mary is back with us on Saturday with the usual excellent range of baked goods from quiche to cakes, tarts to breads, and scones to eclairs.
The Hammersleys will also offer a great range of locally produced meats – great time of year for a lamb or beef stew. Chicken, beef, lamband pork all available in a range of products. In addition to meats Hammersley’s carry Tipperary Honey and local fresh hen eggs.
Michael Ryan has all your vegetable and fruit needs – along with the The Apple Farm Juices and Raheen Honey from Joe Molloy in Holycross and Honey from Ryans in Dundrum.
Hen and duck eggs are also available.
TJ Donnelly is the one to contact for your winter fuel needs – custom orders can be delivered. Thurles Farmers Market welcomes new traders – food or craft call 087 270 1689.
We look forward to seeing you at our Market at the Greyhound Stadium, every Saturday morning between 9am and 12:30pm.
