Blue Door Thurles to host talk on stress

The Blue Door and Thurles Lions Club present a free talk on 'When the Body Says No - the cost of hidden stress' by Sabine Eggers, Community Pharmacist. The talk will be held in the Stanwix Village on Saturday 17th May. Refreshments from 10.30 am and the talk will begin at 11.30 am.

This talk will provide answers to questions about the mind-body link, looking at how stress and our emotional makeup can play a role in an array of medical conditions, such as arthritis and irritable bowel syndrome. We will learn about ‘The Seven A’s of Healing’ – the principles for healing and prevention of illness from hidden stress.

The Blue Door is a Thurles Lions Club initiative and is a free listening service for those who may feel burdened, and for those times when life weighs us down. At the Blue Door we understand the benefits of active listening. We are a group of ordinary people, some with lived experience, some with professional qualifications, and all have received training in active listening skills. We are here to listen, without judgment, and in complete confidence. Contact the Blue Door on 087 7195000 or visit us on Facebook.

Come along to the Community House in the Stanwix Village, Kickham St, Thurles on Saturday 17th May.
