Local Tipperary village to receive funding as part of Safety Improvement Scheme

€80,000 has been allocated to Boherlahan
Boherlahan is set to receive €80,000 in funding.
This funding is part of the 2025 Safety Improvement Scheme.
In a statement released today, Councillor Declan Burgess says he is thrilled with the announcement.
He said: "I am delighted to secure €80,000 of funding under the 2025 Safety Improvement Scheme.
"This funding will complete the work to improve safety in Boherlahan village. Works will include a pedestrian crossing connecting An Úllord estate to the rest of the village and the installation of new footpaths from St Joseph’s Avenue.
"I was proud to support the school and residents here in improving the pedestrian movement at this side of the village. Well done to everyone involved for championing this project and I want to thank the council engineers who have engaged with me from the start.
"I worked hard to bring this to this stage and I hope to see this delivered in the near future," Cllr Burgess concluded.
