Long serving member finally nails down the Vice Captain's Prize at Clonmel Golf Club
Billy Hewitt triumphs by two shots in David Hoyne's Vice Captain's Prize
Vice-Captain's Prize (Mr. David Hoyne) - Billy Hewitt wins
After a number of runner up finishes in the Vice-Captain's down through the years, Billy Hewitt finally took home the win on Saturday after some fantastic play in what can only be described as very tough conditions.
We had four seasons of weather in one day! Heading the field after the first 18 with a nett 67 (4 over par), Billy continued the fine play in the 9-hole play-off finishing with a total of 101.5 which was enough to secure the win by two shots over Michael Healy. In third place went to Donald Binchy.
The prizegiving was held afterwards and a great night was had by all there.
Congratulations to everyone who played and well done to our Vice-Captain David Hoyne for a successful day.
