Man given three-year ban for drink driving in Thurles

A man has been given a three-year driving ban by Thurles District Court.
Martin Connors (37) of 27 Oakfield Drive, Thurles, pleaded guilty to drink driving on March 18, 2022.
The court heard that gardaí observed the defendant failed to indicate and was driving over the white line on the Davis Road Thurles last March.
They stopped the vehicle, arrested and taken to Templemore Garda Station.
The court was told that testing showed the defendant was over the alcohol limit to drive. The court heard that the defendant had been previously banned from driving but had completed the term.
Judge Elizabeth MacGrath noted the fact that the defendant had pleaded guilty. She imposed a three-year driving ban and a €300 fine.
