Clonmel Borough District meeting heard a motion by councillor Richie Molloy regarding the complaints of horses in the cemetery

At a recent meeting of Clonmel Borough District in Clonmel Town Hall, a motion was made by Cllr Richie Molloy for the council to install a cattle grid on the St. Patricks Road entrance to the cemetery as there has been evidence of horses entering the graveyard in recent times.

The response to this motion from the district engineer was that there was not any evidence of horses around the cemetery but they said however that if there was this issue, it will be referred to the Environment Section to be investigated.

Cllr Molloy said that one or two people have complained about dirt from horses going into the cemetery and said it’s an issue they should keep an eye on.

Cllr Siobhan Ambrose said at the meeting that the council will have funding for the new entrance of the cemetery in the new year.
