2. Cathal Barrett Rating: 7/10 Looking at the full time match report, you might think that Barrett struggled on Aaron Gillane, but he kept the Patrickswell man quiet for long spells of the game. Gillane's first goal was while being picked up by Seamus Kennedy, and after Gillane got an early point from play, Barrett settled to the task. Did well.

3. Barry Heffernan Rating: 7/10 Named at full back, Heffernan actually reverted to his favourite position of wing back and got through a mountain of work. Made several bursts up field, scoring a point, and putting Michael Breen in for a goal in the first half. Much more comfortable in the half back line.

4. Craig Morgan Rating: 7/10 When the season ends, one of the highlights will be the emergence of Craig Morgan, who came out on top in his battle with Graeme Mulcahy. The Kilruane man has boundless confidence, mixed with pace and no end of hurling ability and did his job well once again, holding Mulcahy to just 0-1.

5. Dillon Quirke Rating: 8/10 Started the game at midfield but drifted back into the half back line at various stages, Quirke had a fantastic battle with Will O'Donoghue, and came out on top. He was colossal in the aerial stakes and Will O'Donoghue doesn't get bested often, with the Limerick man replaced on 55 minutes. Excellent outing.
