One Tipperary town is looking very well at the moment and here's why...

Tipperary Town is looking very well at the moment, due in no short part to the Tipperary Tidy Towns Group, the Enhancement Group and the businesses of the town.

Walking through the town you could not but be impressed with the flowering displays in planters, tubs and with the hanging baskets.

In all parts of the town there is lots of colour and a notable absence of litter in town and on the approach roads. I see the Tidy Towns volunteers out very regularly on litter picking duties and they are to be really commended for their wonderful efforts.

In various areas of the town centre there are painting, enhancement and cleaning works underway to a number of business premises and the fully restored front of the Irish House on the Main Street really adds to the streetscape.

It would be great to see the unoccupied business premises along the street back in action again and we do hope that that will happen at some point.

However those that are in business in the town must be acknowledged for their efforts in the upkeep of their premises and for the painting and enhancement works.

The Tidy Towns committee are a wonderful group of people who are striving hard to improve the image of the town and I am sure that they would welcome any assistance that you may be able to offer them.
