Overnight water restriction in place in Tipperary Town
The restrictions are in place from 10pm on Monday until 6am, Tuesday
Uisce Éireann have put in place overnight restrictions in Tipperary Town while they carry out leak repair works.
Water pressure will be reduced between 10pm and 6am to ensure supply can be maintained in the daytime.
The works will address the increased flows across the town, which is causing water in the reservoir to fall to unsustainable levels.
Uisce Éireann's Colin Cunningham said:
"We understand the inconvenience that restrictions cause and we would like to thank customers for their patience. Essential leakage repair works currently underway may involve some short-term inconvenience, but traffic management in the form of traffic lights and a stop/go system will be in place to allow the works to be delivered safely and efficiently. Local and emergency traffic will be accommodated at all times.
"Customers can continue to help conserve water by not running taps needlessly, taking showers instead of baths and postponing using dishwashers and washing machines where possible during the period of the restrictions."
