Gardaí from the Clare/Tipperary Roads Policing Unit carried out an operation detecting speeding offences as part of National Slow Down Day on Friday last.

Gardaí said: "Every time you drive, be aware of your speed - you are not the only person on the roads today. Please slow down for everyone's safety.
"Everyone wants to get home safely today and every day."
