The Doyle Family extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported the Mary Doyle 5K Run, held Saturday, June 7th. Despite inclement weather, the event proved to be a tremendous success, filled with laughter, participation, and community spirit. Earlier in the evening, children enjoyed a series of races and activities, which set a joyful tone for the night. A special shout-out goes to all those who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the event ran smoothly and safely, particularly the dedicated members of the New Inn festival committee. We would also like to express our gratitude to An Garda Síochána for their assistance in ensuring safety throughout the event. Additionally, we appreciate the efforts of those who helped with the computerised timing, making it easier to track the runners' performances. We are thankful to our generous sponsors for providing wonderful spot prizes, as well as everyone who assisted with registration, stewarding, and refreshments. This event wouldn’t have been possible without the enthusiastic participation of all the runners and supporters. As Mary often said, "it's not the taking part that counts, it's the enjoyment and participation along the way."
