Gardaí from East Clare North Tipperary hosted their 2nd Annual Sports Day this week at Nenagh Eire Og GAA grounds.
In a post on Facebook, Gardaí said,
"This was in memory of their dear colleagues Garda Deirdre Darcy Hogan and Garda Sinead Hennessy.
"A number of schools from across the Functional area attended and enjoyed competing in team based events where team building and communication skills were exhibited. 6 students were also presented with Future Star awards for traits such as resilience, kindness and excellent team work.
"We were delighted to invite Sinead and Deirdres family to present St Cronans School Roscrea with the winners Shield and runner up medals to Cloughjordan No 1 National School.
"Thank you Supermacs for their generous sponsorship towards the event.
"Well done to everyone who took part, it was a fun filled day and we look forward to it again next year!"
