Vehicle observed in Tipperary with the driver holding a mobile phone while driving

The Tipperary Roads Policing Unit was active recently in a targeted operation that led to two separate vehicles being seized for serious driving offences.

In the first instance, officers stopped a vehicle and discovered the driver had no valid insurance. As a result, the vehicle was seized on the spot, and the driver now faces an upcoming court appearance.

Shortly afterwards, a second vehicle was observed with the driver holding a mobile phone while driving. Further checks revealed the driver not only lacked a valid driving licence but was also uninsured. This vehicle too was seized, with court proceedings to follow.

Gardaí continue to urge drivers to comply with road safety laws as part of ongoing efforts to ensure #SaferRoads across the county.
