A popular Tipperary hotel manager has scooped a top prize this week.
Thomas O'Halloran has been awarded Manager of the Year for 2024 by the Lakeside Hotel and Leisure Centre in Ballina this week for his "invaluable" work.
Mr O'Halloran joined the Lakeside Hotel over seven years ago, starting as their conference, banqueting, and events manager before being promoted to operations manager.
The popular Tipperary man was celebrated by his employer for his "tireless" work.
"Thomas oversees the largest cohort of team members, and his ability to lead with dedication, and a touch of humour makes him an invaluable part of our team," the local hotel wrote on social media.
"Known affectionately as “Sky News,” he always seems to have the latest scoop on everything," the post added.
