Revealed: Council issue important update on Tipperary burial grounds

Tipperary County Council has issued an important update on Premier County burial grounds.

In an update in the Tipperary County Council Management Report under Burial Grounds Capital, Minor and Improvement Works the council said "an extensive work programme across the county is ongoing".

The report added: "Burial Grounds Capital, Minor and Improvement Works (including site selection) continue at the following locations: Ballina (Boher), Fethard, Newcastle, Tyone, Clonmel (St Patrick’s), Carrick-on-Suir, Kiladangan, Solohead/Monard, New Inn and Borrisoleigh.

"The development of a Burial Ground in Cahir is now being carried out by The Waterford & Lismore Diocese with assistance from the council."
