Revealed: Plans for betting office in one Tipperary town given GREEN LIGHT

Plans for a new betting office in Templemore have been approved by Tipperary County Council which means that an existing Boyle Sports bookies will move to a larger premises across the Main Square.

Boyle Sports 2 Unlimited Co. applied for planning permission for a change of use of an existing vacant ground floor retail unit into a licensed betting office, on the Main Street of Templemore.

The Eircode is E41 AY83.

The plans include the demolition to parts of the existing structure to the rear, a new ground floor extension, and internal renovations to the first floor level accommodation, to include the provision of new stairs to the rear and to include for all new signage and associated site works.

The plans were lodged on December 14, 2023, and further information was sought by the council on February 15 this year.

That information was received on July 12.

Council planners gave the green light on August 7, subject to ten conditions.
