Revealed: Popular Tipperary priest celebrates Diamond Jubilee of his ordination year
Well done!
A popular Tipperary priest has celebrated the Diamond Jubilee of his ordination year.
Congratulations to Fr Denis Maher of Ardmayle who has celebrated the Diamond Jubilee of his ordination.
Fr Denis marked the occasion with a special Mass in St John's Church, Ardmayle recently for his relatives, neighbours and some former parishioners.
It was a really beautiful Mass with Fr Denis assisted by Fr Joe Egan, Fr Joe O'Neill and his great friend for many years Fr Willie Reynolds, originally from Thurles who preached a most apt homily.
Fr Denis wore St Patrick's College vestments - eagles on the front (seen on the entrance gates of the college) and crossed keys - symbols of the Archdiocese.
The metaphor of the eagles is the soaring out in your priestly ministry.
A presentation of Parish Books was made to Fr Denis by Tommy Wallace.
The choir enhanced the liturgy.
