RIP: Tipperary deaths and funeral details, April 30

James A (Tony) Slattery, Miltownbritton Stud, Lisronagh, Clonmel and Kiltinan, Fethard, Co Tipperary. Died April 28th 2024 in his 89th year, peacefully, in the care of Rathkeevan Nursing Home, Clonmel. Beloved husband of Phyllis (Wall). Loving father of Mary (Boland), Liz (Matthews), Carmel (Asbury), Vincent and Eva. Adoring grandfather of Jack, Giles, Will, Darcy and Zoe. Sadly missed by his brother John, sisters Mary and Frances, sister in law Margaret, brother in law Pascal, sons in law Eugene, Peter and Richard, nephews, cousins, extended family , neighbours and wide circle of friends . Predeceased by his parents James and Nell and his Grandson Jonty.

Reposing at McCarthy's Funeral Home, Fethard, on Tuesday 30th April from 5.30pm to 7.00pm. Funeral Mass at St John the Baptist Church, Lisronagh, at 11.00am on Wednesday May 1st followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery. The Mass can be watched online at https://www.powerstownchurch.com/.

The death has occurred of Timothy (Tim) Spaight, (suddenly), in Sydney, Australia and formerly of 32 Ardarra, Portroe, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary on April 29th 2024. Beloved son of Philomena and the late Patrick (Pa) Spaight and loving brother of Mary, Mike, Sheila, Christine, Pat, Bobby and Philomena (Philly). Much loved and sadly missed by his heartbroken family, brothers-in-law, Davy Isaacs, Michael Hennessy and Barry Gohery, sister-in-law Louise and Bobby's partner Teresa Hogan, nieces, nephews, neighbours and close friends in Ireland and Australia.
