Cllr David Dunne appealed to Tipperary County Council to resurface the concrete roadway at St Nicholas Park

A councillor has appealed to Tipperary County Council to resurface the concrete roadway in a Carrick-on-Suir residential area due to its very bad condition.

Carrick Municipal District Cathaoirleach Cllr David Dunne made the call for the resurfacing of the roadway at St Nicholas Park in his hometown at Carrick-on-Suir Municipal District’s monthly meeting.

He said the road surface in this residential area “left a lot to be desired”.

The Sinn Féin councillor acknowledged the Council resurfaced one third of this roadway but the remaining two thirds also need to be done and he was concerned there was no money available for repair of housing estate roads.

“This is a concrete road that badly needs to be done. The residents are very quiet to be putting up with it,” he declared.

District Engineer Michael Scully accepted the Council needs to address the resurfacing of the roadway at this estate.
