“I was invited to perform the song on the Late Late Show last year, and the reaction to it was amazing.

Of course this year marks the 25th anniversary of the passing of the great Tammy Wynette, so I thought it would be appropriate to record and release a new version of her biggest hit.

I am also honoured to have been invited to perform the songs and music of Tammy Wynette and George Jones in a concert tour in October.

I am really looking forward to this, and I am delighted to have the great Max T Barnes coming over from Nashville, specially to perform the songs of George Jones as part of this tour.

Of course Max and his dad Max D Barnes knew George Jones very well and wrote some of his biggest hits including Who’s Gonna fill Their Shoes?

We are doing concerts all over, and we perform in Tipperary on Thursday, October 12, at The Theatre in The Horse & Jockey Hotel.

I am really looking forward to meeting up with all the country music fans at these shows.

It’s so exciting!”Due to the phenomenal success of the recent TV series George and Tammy on Paramount, we know that “Stand by Your Man - The Songs and Music of Tammy Wynette and George Jones, will be hugely popular with fans of real Country Music.
