1. Rhys Shelly (Moycarkey Borris) Well established at this point and playing well. Shelly's ability to find the right man will be crucial to Tipperary's cause. His shot stopping ability may also come into good use this Sunday, given the inside threat posed by Kilkenny.placeholder image

Tipperary will face Kilkenny this coming Sunday in the All-Ireland Hurling Championship semi-final

14. John McGrath (Loughmore Castleiney) McGrath will get the sternest of examinations for a full forward in the modern game on Sunday, with the attentions of Huw Lawlor expected to be severe. McGrath has been outstanding this term, and if nothing else, he will create space and attract attention for his teammates to thrive. Lawlor is a class act, but he will have to be extremely tuned in to curtail the Loughmore Castleiney ace, given his current form.

15. Jason Forde (Silvermines) Forde is playing with confidence, and that is a massive boost to Tipperary's efforts. The Silvermines man is laser accurate currently, and the space of Croke Park should see him thrive. He is well used to the venue so his leadership will be vital here.
