Storms stop golf in its tracks in Tipperary but golfers hoping to resume this weekend

Dundrum Golf Club was affected by Storm Éowyn
Many in Tipperary felt that they had missed the worst of Storm Éowyn and that the pre-warning was of huge benefit to ensure that preparations were adequate.
In Dundrum the golf course was affected but there is a good chance play can resume there tomorrow morning once the wind dries up some wet patches.
A post online by Dundrum Golf Shop read as follows: "Storm Eowyn certainly left its mark on the course! We’ve had a few fallen trees, including one that ended up over the second green. Thankfully, there’s no damage to the green itself.
"Our Greenkeeping team is already on it and will have it all sorted in no time.
"The course has taken a fair bit of rain, so we’ll carry out a course inspection tomorrow morning at 8am to determine if Saturday’s play can go ahead."
