In a recent TikTok video Leddin deemed it his 'favourite place'

After Limerick Juntion was named 'the saddest place' in Ireland by Evoke, Limerick TD Brian Leddin has a unique way of looking at it.

Brian Leddin is an Irish Green Party politician who has been a Teachta Dála for the Limerick City constituency since the 2020 general election.

In a recent TikTok video shared by Leddin, he deemed it 'a love letter' to his 'favourite place' which happens to be Limerick Junction.

Limerick Junction, in Ballykisteen, Co Tipperary is the interchange railway station for trains originating in Limerick, Dublin Heuston, Cork, Waterford, Tralee and Ennis stations and has been open since July 3, 1848.

Leddin in the video said: "So this place is a crossroads in the middle of nowhere, somewhere in Tipperary. They arrive, they get off the train, they go to a different platform and get on another train and then they disappear again. I think that is quite fascinating. Every time I come here it is always a magical experience. God I love trains. Isn't it fantastic when you come all the way from Dublin or Cork or wherever you get to change trains at Limerick Junction and experience this wonderful masterpeice. If only we could stay here a bit longer."

Many users have reacted to the video, one user said: "My God."

Another user said: "Also only place in Ireland where two rail tracks cross at almost right angles."

Another user said: "What a cracking spot."
