2. Jordan Moloney (JK Brackens) Faced with a numerical disadvantage early in the Relegation Final, JK Brackens relied heavily upon their defensive unit stepping up, and Jordan Moloney was a big player in that regard. He was all over the defence during the game, and his carries forward were key when a man down. His experience was key in the victory.

3. Denis Maher (Thurles Sarsfields) The sign of a proper full back is his anonymity for large parts of a game, and that was true on Sunday. He dominated his area all game, keeping a dangerous forward in Dan O'Meara very quiet, and in the final seconds of the game he very nearly set up a winning score with a run from defence. Another top effort from Maher.

4. Decky McGrath (Kiladangan) McGrath probably had his best game of the year on county final day last Sunday. He was terrific at wing back for Kiladangan, setting up so many attacks and booming over a point of his own in the first half. A hugely underrated player.

5. Alan Flynn (Kiladangan) Flynn set the tone very early with his attitude and continued that right the way through the game. He is possibly Kiladangan's most influential player and get through so much possession, which was a highlight of his performance on Sunday where he slotted back to centre back seemlessly.
