6. Niall O'Meara (Kilruane MacDonaghs) O'Meara was really looking like his best version in the quarter-final win over Toomevara. In the first half in particular, he really stood up at the heart of the defence, and his composure on the ball and deliveries into the forwards were impeccable.

7. Podge Campion (Drom & Inch) A man really holding his hand up for intercounty duty, Campion was one of the highlights of a largely average game last Saturday. He has turned into a powerful player, and his long range shooting has become an asset, backing 0-3 from distance at vital times.

8. Tadhg Gallagher (Kiladangan) Only for this man, the year could be a whole lot different for the north team. Gallagher is having one of his best seasons in memory, as his energy and scoring contributions were once again invaluable to Kiladangan, finishing with a really respectable 1-3 from play from the middle of the park.

9. Kevin McCarthy (Toomevara) Reverting to his preferred position of midfield for last Saturday's game, McCarthy had his best game of the year for Toomevara. In the secind half in particular, he got onto a savage amount of possession, and set up Jack Delaney's late goal to bring the game back into contention.
