1. Martin Sadlier (Clonoulty Rossmore) A man who conceded three goals against Nenagh, but only for the Clonoulty netminder, it could have been a whole lot worse for his side. Particularly in the first half, Sadlier made some excellent saves with Nenagh raining shots on goal, with Sadlier making a fantastic double save. Perhaps he could have done better with Cian Crowley's second half goal, but he is well deserving of his place.

14. Denis Maher (Thurles Sarsfields) He has continued his form from 2021 with another good outing at full forward for Sars. He is a very useful target man in around the square, and with no shortage of hurling to go with it, he bagged 1-3 against Borris-Ileigh and they will be glad to see the back of the big man.

15. Cian Darcy A brace of goals in the first round is about as good a start to a year as you can get, and Cian Darcy had that honour against Moycarkey Borris. He ran the Moycarkey defence ragged throughout the course of the game and his finishing was on point, leaving the match with a savage total of 2-4.
