2. Paul Maher (Thurles Sarsfields) Maher performed very well for Sars in defeat to bitter rivals Drom & Inch. He is a very solid operator and his running game with the ball was a big weapon, especially in the second half. Kept Tommy Nolan quiet for the most part.

3. Andrew Ryan (Toomevara) One of the more experienced players in this Toomevara team, Ryan is always certain to give a solid display at number three. He is very reliable under pressure, and despite giving away a needless penalty in the second half he was assured throughout.

4. Conor O'Brien (Éire Óg Annacarty/Donohill) Foxy really dialed back the years with his performance against Kiladangan in Dolla last weekend. He is tailormade for Éire Óg's running game, and made several forays up the field, one of which resulted in a brilliant score from a tough distance and angle.

5. Fintan Purcell (Drom & Inch) The platform for Drom's upsurge in form this year has been their half back line, and Fintan Purcell must have had blisters with the amount of ball he got on against Sars. His shooting was a bit erratic and can be worked on, but he was extremely impressive in getting on possession and setting up attacks.
