2. David Sweeney (Kiladangan) Part of a full back line that had a tough opening ten minutes against JK Brackens, Sweeney settled to his task well for the remainder of the game, playing a lot of ball out of the back line. Getting back to his best.

3. James Quigley (Kiladangan) Like Sweeney, Quigley had a dodgy opening to the game, as he struggled to curtail Andrew Ormonde who notched a quick 1-1 in the first quarter, but from there, the Tipperary full back settled down very well and kept the Brackens attack blunted.

4. Ronan Heffernan (Clonoulty Rossmore) Clonoulty were so close to pulling a result from this game late on, but had to settle for a preliminary quarter-final come full time, and Ronan Heffernan had a good game, contributing 0-2 from play in a good performance at corner back.

5. Paddy Cadell (JK Brackens) Cadell was surely the top player in terms of possession on Sunday against Kiladangan, as he was constantly in the ball, particularly in the second half. His distribution is top class, but he will be annoyed that his mistake led to a Kiladangan goal in the first half after Brackens had just taken a four point lead.
