7. Eoghan Connolly (Cashel King Cormacs) Eoghan didn't have his name up in lights as much as his younger brother, but he still knocked over some brilliant long range frees and brought order back to a Cashel full back line who were under the cosh in the first half against Ballina.

8. Tommy Maher (Thurles Sarsfields) A young man who looks like he won't be playing at this level for too much longer, Maher looks a cut above even at this young age. He is a pure striker of the ball and bagged 0-7 with two of those from play.

9. Gavin O'Halloran (Carrick Swans) He hit social media stardom this week with the footage of one of his two sideline cut scores, but he has more to his game than that. He is a classy hurler and is vital to this Swan team. He hit frees, 65s, sidelines and points from play and finished with 0-13. A very astute performance.

10. Stephen Kirwan (Burgess) Kirwan has really taken up the mantle of scoring and leadership in the Burgess forward line this year, and it is a welcome relief to their supporters who have relied heavily on Stephen Murray over the years. He is physically huge and used it to good effect in the tough conditions against Clonakenny, and hit 0-4 during the win.
