'Thank you, Kevin,' Tipperary community pay tribute to candidate who lost council seat

Unfortunately this past weekend our local councillor Kevin O'Meara just fell short in his bid to retain his seat in the local elections, writes Sinéad Moore.

Kevin has represented the parish of Mullinahone for the past six years.

He continued the huge work done previously by his late father Eddie, and was always available to help in anyway he could, whether it was helping organisations and clubs with funding, getting badly needed footpaths completed or indeed helping individuals with whatever issues arose for them.

Your help and kindness will be greatly missed Kevin and we all thank you for representing our little village.

Best wishes for the future and enjoy some quality time with your wife Norah and your three children.
