The Dubliners' Ronnie Drew will be celebrated through song and story at Clonmel Junction Festival

Drew's son Phelim brings 'Remembering Ronnie' to Clonmel's White Memorial Theatre on July 4
The great Ronnie Drew of The Dubliners will be remembered fondly by his son Phelim at an evening of song, music and anecdotes in Clonmel's White Memorial Theatre this Thursday, July 4 at 8pm.
The event is part of the Clonmel Junctions Arts Festival.
As the (very recognisable) son of legendary Dubliner Ronnie Drew, actor and musician Phelim Drew realises that he has some very big shoes to fill.
Growing up he says he was in awe of “the electricity generated by a Dubliners show”.
Ten years after Ronnie’s passing, Phelim has returned to his musical legacy and the wealth of material has reawakened not only a sense of pride but also a new sense of appreciation.
With Remembering Ronnie, Phelim will be telling anecdotes and singing some of the songs made famous by Ronnie, Luke, Barney, Ciaran and John.
Tickets for the event can be purchased through the Clonmel Junction Festival website.
