'The two of them made a formidable couple for over 44 years,' tributes to Tipperary woman

Aggie was rarely seen without her best friend and husband Jimmy. The two of them made a formidable couple for over 44 years.
It was with deep sadness we learned of the death of Aggie Maher, Barrack Hill, Clogheen following a long illness which she embraced and battled to the end.
Aggie was rarely seen without her best friend and husband Jimmy.
The two of them made a formidable couple for over 44 years.
Aggie was never happier than telling us of her daughter Michaela's accolades, of which there were many, especially in her musical career.
Aggie was a proud Mama in the front row when Michaela and her ABBA tribute Band performed in Clogheen last year.
Aggie was a well known and welcoming resident of Barrack Hill , the door was always open to us.
A Clogheen woman through and through.
Aggie worked for many years in the local pubs of Clogheen and in later years she became a child minder.
The children in her care loved her very dearly and became an extended family for her.
Aggie was buried in Shanrahan cemetery on Saturday 18th May after a beautiful funeral service by Fr James and eulogy from Michaela.
She is predeceased by her parents and brother Christy Maher [Cahir].
She is survived by her husband Jimmy, daughter Michaela, the O'Grady Family and all her extended family and many friends.
The absence from Barrack Hill will be forever felt.
In both sickness and in health Aggie always remained a Super Trooper and she will be sorely missed.
Rest in peace thy good and faithful servant.
