Thousands has been raised on GoFundMe for a young Tipperary woman who has been left with a life-altering condition after suffering a shock spinal bleed.

Aimee, a young woman from Farranasa, Co. Tipperary, was left paralysed from the chest down after suffering a spontaneous spinal epidural hematoma — a rare and life-altering condition that caused severe spinal cord damage between the C5 and C7 vertebrae.

Emergency surgery came too late to prevent permanent injury, and she now lives with quadriplegia.

After four months of intensive rehabilitation, Aimee is working tirelessly to adjust to her new reality, which includes loss of mobility and hand function.

She faces daily challenges with even basic tasks, and her family is now fundraising to support her recovery and improve her quality of life as she navigates this profound transition.

The campaign, launched by her mother Janet, has already raised over €17,000 towards its €35,000 target.

Funds will help cover specialist equipment, therapy, and accessibility needs that are vital to giving Aimee independence and hope for the future.

Those who wish to donate towards Aimee's fund can do so here.
