Thurles school honour two students in their role as Tipperary minor captains

For any school to have a county minor captain in their midst is a proud experience and at Coláiste Mhuire Co-Ed we are immensely proud to have two students who have shared that honour in this year’s Electric Ireland minor GAA Championship.
Fifth-year student Cathal O’Reilly of Holycross/Ballycahill GAA Club has been leading by example thus far as he captains the Tipperary minor hurling team from corner-back with wins over Cork & Waterford.
Transition Year student Dylan Cotter last week captained the Tipperary minor footballers to victory over Clare at Quilty in West Clare, playing a starring role at midfield.
Uniquely for Dylan, he also became the first Thurles Gaels man to captain a Tipperary team in any code.
Both Cathal and Dylan are exemplary students, popular among their peers and are two great role models for any young person.
To acknowledge their achievements, Principal Mr Denis Quinn is pictured in the photograph presenting Cathal with a voucher for Elverys while staff member and Gaelic football coach Mr Seán Craddock presents Dylan with his voucher for Elverys
We wish both lads the very best as they progress in their respective championship campaigns.
