Cahir Active Retirement

Last week, members of the association got together and enjoyed lunch in Cahir House Hotel in a much anticipated event for the very active group who meet once a month.

Chairperson of Cahir Active Retirement Anne Dowling, welcomed everyone to the lunch and thanked all those who came along on the day, especially National President Mai McQuaid who travelled along with her husband, Fran, Fr John Nally, musician Dom O’Driscoll and myself.

Mass was celebrated before lunch by Fr Nally, followed by a beautiful lunch and there was music by the fantastic Dom O’Driscoll afterwards. The lively group had great fun catching up and everyone enjoyed it immensely.

As usual, there are plenty of activities already lined up for this year and more already running already within the association. There is such enthusiasm amongst this group with many activities; day trips away, the boules tournament and classes in the pipeline as the group continues to show that being retired does not mean being inactive at all!

Cahir Active Retirement meets on the first Wednesday of every month, so if anybody is interested in joining or if you would like some more information, please call 086 050 7545.
